Daughters of the American Revolution chapter names essay contest winner

The Amos Kendall Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution recently announced that Emily Pecelunas, a junior at Bolingbrook High School, is the 2015-16 chapter winner of the Christopher Columbus Essay Contest. Each year the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution partners with the National Italian American Foundation to sponsor the essay contest. The contest is open to all students in grades nine through 12. This year's topic was "Columbus and Lindberg: A Journey Across the Atlantic." Contestants were asked to compare and contrast these two world-changing journeys.
