ALR takes part in Sugar Grove parade

The American Legion Riders Post 181 from Sandwich participated in the Sugar Grove Corn Boil Festival Parade on July 29. The parade started at the village offices and went to Veterans’ Park. This year’s feature for the parade was the Special Olympics of the Fox Valley Area. The committee invited many gold medalists from the Special Olympics to be in the parade and to meet community members. Pictured are Tom Limburg (American Legion Post 654), Rob Halvax (Warrior Watch), Shari and Bob Patton, Henry Herbst, Cherie and Bob Mauer, and Ken Rojek (DeKalb HOG) waiting to ride in the parade.
