An Oswego Township resident filed an harassment by electronic communication report with the county sheriff’s office Dec. 28. Police said the victim had received messages that someone had taken out a contract to have her assassinated. Police said the victim continued to received messages indicating the contract would be called off if the victim were to pay an undisclosed amount of money. Police said the messages appeared to have been a scam and the victim did not provide the individual with any money or information.
Light Road arrest
County sheriff’s deputies arrested Kevin William Debolt, 25, of the 2500 block of Hartfield Drive, Montgomery, in the 2000 block of Light Road in Oswego Township Jan. 1 at 7:09 p.m. on a charge of aggravated battery.
ID theft reported
An Oswego Township resident told county sheriff’s deputies Dec. 30 that someone opened a cellphone account in his name and also attempted to open two credit cards in his name last June. Police said they are investigating.
Crestview Drive domestic
County sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a domestic violence incident at a residence in the 0-100 block of Crestview Drive in Oswego Township Dec. 30 at 8 p.m. Police said individuals at the residence claimed they had been battered and property had been damaged but declined to sign complaints.
County sheriff’s deputies arrested Angel Trenado, 34, of the 300 block of James Street, Plano, Jan. 2 at the county sheriff’s office. Police said Trenado came to their office as they were investigating a motor vehicle crash at Frazier Road and Huntsman Trail in Little Rock Township Jan. 2 at 10:15 p.m. Police said Trenado has been charged with leaving the scene of an accident and failure to report an accident.
Inmate charged with battery
County sheriff’s deputies arrested Stephawn Arkell Johnson, 22, an inmate at the Kendall County Jail in Yorkville, Jan. 1 at 9:40 a.m. on charges of aggravated battery and aggravated resisting a peace officer. Police said Johnson, who has a home address in the 600 block of South Lincoln Avenue, Aurora, would not comply with commands made by corrections deputies to exit an area of the jail to which he was assigned. Johnson physically resisted the deputies' commands and was eventually restrained, police said. One of the deputies received minor injuries in the incident and was treated at an area hospital. Johnson was also treated at the jail for a minor injury, according to police.
County sheriff’s deputies responded to a domestic battery incident at a campground in the 8000 block of Van Emmon Road in Oswego Township Jan. 1 at 4:49 a.m. Police said one of the individuals involved in the incident, a female, had facial wounds and was transported to Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora. The other individual, a male, also sustained facial wounds in the incident but declined a trip to the hospital, police said. The incident remains under investigation, according to police.
Minor injuries in crash
A Boulder Hill resident, George J. McHugh, 77, of the 10-20 block of Circle Drive East, was transported to Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora Jan. 1 at 7:13 p.m. after the vehicle he was driving struck a tree in the front yard of a residence in the 40th block of Greenfield Road and then struck two parked vehicles on South Bereman Road.
Motorist cited in rollover crash
A Plano resident, Rebecca Marie Ortega, 23, of the 500 block of Hemmingsen Street, was injured Jan. 2 at 7:33 a.m. when she fell asleep while driving on Rock Creek Road at Sears Road in Little Rock Township and her vehicle collided with another vehicle driven by Richard E. Uhrich, 62, of the 40th block of Meyer Road, Plano. Police said Uhrich’s vehicle went into a ditch and rolled over on its side. Police cited Ortega for driving without insurance, improper lane usage and driving on a suspended license. Ortega was treated and released from an area hospital, police said.
Rocky Way domestic
County sheriff’s deputies responded to a domestic battery incident at a home in the 50th block of Rocky Way in Boulder Hill Jan. 2 at 8:13 p.m. Police said they learned that the two individuals who had been in a dating relationship had committed a mutual battery against each other. Police said neither individual wished to sign a complaint and no arrests were made.
Inmate arrested at jail
County sheriff’s deputies arrested Roy L. White, 25, an inmate at the county jail in Yorkville, Jan. 2 at 6 p.m. on charges of aggravated battery, aggravated assault and criminal damage to property. Police said White, who has a home address in the 1600 block of North Narragansett Avenue in Chicago, squeezed a shampoo bottle filled with feces and urine on two corrections deputies and then tossed the bottle at them. Police said the contents of the shampoo bottled damaged a log book.
Jeter Road vehicle theft
County sheriff’s deputies took a report of a stolen motor vehicle at a residence in the 200 bock of Jeter Road in Little Rock Township Dec. 28. Police described the vehicle as a 2007 GMC.
A resident of Garden Drive in Boulder Hill filed an identity theft report with the county sheriff’s office Dec. 27. Police said the victim was contacted by someone who said they were representing Microsoft and that a virus had been found on her computer. The victim subsequently provided her bank account information to the individual. Police said an investigation is underway.
DUI, obstructing among charge
County sheriff’s deputies arrested Alfredo Patino, 49, of the 100-200 block of Fernwood Road, Boulder Hill, after stopping his vehicle on Fernwood Road for an expired registration Dec. 27 at 7:21 p.m. Police said Patino initially provided them with a false name. Police said Patino has been charged with driving under the influence, obstructing identification, driving on a suspended license, no valid registration, illegal transportation of alcohol and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
