Domestic battery charges

Oswego police arrested Daphne D. Thompson, 47, of the 300 block of Melrose Place, Aurora, Jan. 2 in the 1800 block of Route 30, on two count charges of domestic battery and one count of criminal damage to property. Police said Thompson was transported to the Kendall County Jail in Yorkville pending court proceedings.

Hits deer on Rt. 34

An Ottawa resident told Oswego police that she struck a deer while driving on in the 3000 block of Route 34 near Boulder Hill Pass Jan. 1 at 7:46 p.m. Police said no injuries were reported, but damage to the vehicle was estimated at $1,500.

Vehicle damaged

A Boulder Hill resident told Oswego police that he parked his vehicle in a parking lot at a store in the 2700 block of Route 34 Jan. 2 at 7 p.m. Police said when the vehicle owner returned to the vehicle, the front bumper had been damaged.

$960 taken from store

Oswego police are investigating the theft of $960 from a store in the 2700 block of Route 34 Dec. 7. Police said the theft was reported to them Dec. 29.

Graffiti damage

Graffiti damage was found on a business in the 100 block of South Adams Street in Oswego Dec. 29, according to village police.

Juvenile arrested

Oswego police arrested a 17-year-old on Route 71 at Calumet Street Dec. 28 at 2:09 p.m. on charges of possession of less than 30 grams of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia.
