Route 71 DUI arrest
County sheriff’s deputies arrested Daniel A. Rutkowski, 20, of the 400 block of East Erie Street, Spring Valley, in the 15000 block of Route 71 in Fox Township Jan. 7 at 7:20 p.m. Police said Rutkowski was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence of drugs and cited for driving on a suspended license and other moving violations. He was transported to the Kendall County Jail in Yorkville pending court proceedings. Police said they were summoned to the 15000 block of Route 71 on a report of an erratic driver. Upon arrival, police said they found Rutkowski had driven his vehicle off the road.
One hurt in crash
A Sandwich resident, Mary Jane Rohrer, 51, of the 50th block of Countryside Drive East, was injured Jan. 9 at 6:58 a.m. when her vehicle, which was stopped in traffic in the 6800 block of Route 71 in Bristol Township, was rear-ended by a vehicle driven by Ginaly Gonzalez, 26, of the 500 block of Westgate Drive, Aurora, according to the county sheriff’s office. Police said Rohrer was transported to Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora with non-life-threatening injuries.
County sheriff’s deputies took a report of a domestic battery at a residence in the 0-50 block of Gawne Lane in Bristol Township Jan. 8 at 8:46 p.m. Police said the victim told them that the offender had left the residence prior to their arrival. No charges had been filed in the case as of presstime, according to police.
Motorist injured, cited in crash
An Oswego resident, Mirah L. Martin, 27, of the 500 block of Chestnut Drive, was injured in a single-vehicle crash on Plainfield Road at Southfield Road in Oswego Township Jan. 6 at 11:20 a.m., according to the county sheriff’s office. Police said Martin’s vehicle left the roadway and struck a culvert. She was transported to Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora. Police said they cited Martin for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and improper lane usage.
Leaving crash among charges
County sheriff’s deputies responded to a single-vehicle crash in the area of Rock Creek Road south of Sears Road in Little Rock Township Jan. 8 at 1:30 a.m. Police said upon arrival at the scene they found the vehicle unoccupied. However, the driver of the vehicle, Ivan Chavez, 22, of the 700 block of West Rock Street, Plano, reported the crash the following day. Police said Chavez was charged with leaving the scene of the crash and failure to report an accident. In addition, they said, Chavez was cited for other traffic violations. He posted bond and was released pending a court appearance.
A Millbrook resident told county sheriff’s deputies that someone smashed the front passenger door window on his 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee while it was parked in the 2500 block of Bristol Ridge Road in Bristol Township between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. Jan. 5.
A Sugar Grove resident told county sheriff’s deputies that his firearm was either lost or misplaced while it was being serviced by a friend in the 16000 block of Galena Road in Little Rock Township between Jan. 3 and Jan. 5.
County sheriff’s deputies are investigating an incident in which three teenage juveniles entered a retail store in the 70th block of Boulder Hill Pass in the Boulder Hill Market Jan. 7 shortly after 8 a.m. and stole make-up products valued at $8.
Boulder Hill burglary
County sheriff’s deputies took a report of a burglary at a home in the 0-100 block of Creve Court in Boulder Hill Jan. 8. Police said the case is currently under investigation. Police said the burglary occurred sometime between 10 p.m. Jan. 7 and 10:30 a.m. Jan. 8.
Cayman Drive burglary
County sheriff’s deputies are investigating the burglary of a home in the 0-100 block of Cayman Drive in Boulder Hill Jan. 7 at 10 a.m.
County sheriff’s deputies arrested Rachel Elizabeth Cessna, 29, of the 10-20 block of Denham Drive, Boulder Hill, while investigating a disturbance at her residence Jan. 7 at 8:23 a.m. Police said they learned that Cessna was wanted on a warrant for failure to appear in court on a prior charge of retail theft.
License plate stolen
A license plate was stolen from a vehicle that was parked at a motel in the 1000 block of Route 30 in Oswego Township Jan. 6 or Jan. 7, county sheriff’s deputies were informed.
Warrant arrest at jail
County sheriff’s deputies arrested Jonathan Marc-Philip Rasmussen, 30, of the 26000 block of West Merton Road, Barrington, at the Kendall County Jail in Yorkville Jan. 6 on an in-state warrant for domestic battery.
County sheriff’s deputies arrested Samantha M. Fitzpatrick, 19, of the 100 block of West Rickard Drive, Bristol Township, at her residence Jan. 7 at 1:30 a.m. Police said Fitzpatrick was wanted on a Kendall County warrant for shoplifting.
Deceived by online date
A 48-year-old Boulder Hill man filed a deceptive practice report with the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office Jan. 5. Police said the victim was deceived into transferring money to a female whom he met on a dating website. Police said the fund transfer occurred between Jan. 2 and Jan. 5.
County sheriff’s deputies are continuing their investigation into a domestic battery involving a 26-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman at a residence in the 100 block of Harbor Drive in Oswego Township Jan. 4 at 4:54 a.m. Police said the woman was battered by the man, who had left the residence prior to the arrival of deputies.
Frazier Road domestic
County sheriff’s deputies responded to a domestic disturbance at a residence in the 17000 block of Frazier Road in Little Rock Township Jan. 4 at 7:41 p.m. Police said the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
County sheriff’s deputies took a report of a forgery reported by a resident of Wyndham Drive in Boulder Hill Jan. 4. Police said the forgery occurred sometime between Oct. 1 and Nov. 30 of last year. Police said the investigation is continuing.
Harassment report filed
A Boulder Hill resident filed an harassment by electronic communication report with the county sheriff’s office Jan. 3. Police said the victim reported receiving numerous texts from an unwanted source over the past three months.
County sheriff’s deputies arrested Timothy Joel Beck, 33, of the 17000 block of Frazier Road, Little Rock Township, at his residence Jan. 4 at 7:41 p.m. on an in-state warrant.
Boulder Hill domestic
County sheriff’s deputies responded to a domestic battery involving a juvenile at a residence in the 100-200 block of Heath Gate Road in Boulder Hill Jan. 4 at 5:05 p.m.
Someone damaged a mailbox in the 13000 block of East Main Street in Little Rock Township sometime late Jan. 3 or early Jan. 4, the county sheriff’s office reported.
Van located, but tools missing
A resident of a campground in the 8000 block of Van Emmon Road in Bristol Township told county sheriff’s deputies Jan. 2 that he allowed an acquaintance to use his work van Dec. 20 and 21. Police said the van was later located abandoned in North Lake and the owner’s work tools, valued at $30,000, were missing. Police said they are investigating.
County sheriff’s deputies arrested Concepcion J. Reyes, 39, of the 60th block of Hubbard Way, Boulder Hill, after stopping his vehicle Jan. 9 at 9:30 p.m. on Surrey Road at Spring Garden Drive. Police said Reyes has been charged with driving on a suspended license and was wanted on an outstanding warrant.
County sheriff’s deputies are investigating a disorderly conduct incident that occurred in the 300 block of Meadow Lane in Newark Jan. 3 at 8:30 p.m.
