Warrant arrest

Oswego police arrested Donald Cox, 59, of the 600 block of South River Street, Montgomery, on Route 30 at Douglas Road July 7 at 11:30 a.m. on an in-state warrant. Police said Cox later posted bond and was released pending a court appearance.

Identity theft

A 24-year-old Oswego resident told village police Jan. 7 that someone opened a credit card account in her name without her knowledge or consent.

Warrant arrest

Oswego police arrested Chelsea D. Shaw, 21, of the 25000 block of West Kelly Court, Plainfield, on an in-state warrant in the 2400 block of Route 34 Jan. 7 at 9:56 p.m. Police said Shaw was detained at the Kendall County Jail in Yorkville.

Park lights shot out

Oswego police are investigating an incident in which someone shot out some of the parking lot lights at Prairie Point Community Park off Plainfield Road sometime between Jan. 3 and 5. Damage was estimated at $100, police said. The lights are the property of the Oswegoland Park District.

Cellphone stolen

A cellphone was reported stolen at a store in the 2300 block of Route 34 in Oswego Dec. 30, village police were notified Jan. 5.

Theft investigated

Oswego police reported they investigated a theft of more than $400 from a business in the 200 block of Ogden Falls Boulevard in the village Jan. 5.

35+ miles over speed limit

Oswego police ticketed Eric Salinas, 20, of the 2400 block of Simon Drive, Montgomery, after stopping his vehicle on Route 30 near Fifth Street Jan. 5 at 11:08 p.m. Police said Salinas was driving in excess of 35 mph over the posted speed limit.

Aggravated ID theft

Oswego police arrested John Sabater, 28, of the 600 block of Castlehill Avenue, the Bronx, New York, at a store in the 2800 block of Route 34 Jan. 4 at 5:15 p.m. Police said Sabater has been charged with aggravated ID theft and ID theft.

Graffiti damage reported

Oswego police are investigating graffiti damage found Jan. 4 on buildings and structures in the village's downtown. Police said graffiti was found on the Veteran's Memorial Wall just west of the Oswego Public Library, on the side of a trailer parked at a business in the 100 block of South Adams Street and on the side of a building in the 20th block of Main Street.

• Keitrell Williams, 20, Aurora, driving on a suspended license.

• Mark S. Davis, 50, of the 2100 block of Walcott Road, Aurora, failure to yield turning left.

• Cory C. Viola, 40, of the 2200 block of Jericho Road, Montgomery, driving on a revoked license and speeding.
