To the Editor:
The medical industry in the U.S. is a $3 trillion business. It makes up one-third of the Gross Domestic Product. It is bigger than the government budget, which includes defense, Social Security and hundreds of agencies. It has been one of the leading job growth areas since the Great Recession of 2009. It probably touches every American family every day. From people paying health insurance premiums to those working for a company associated with health care. There is a reason this industry has grown and that people are feeling better about the economy. It's that many don't have to worry about how much of an impact on their lives not having health insurance will have.
So what is the second order of business the GOP will conduct, now that they have complete control of the government? Just after getting rid of those pesky ethics rules. They will gut Obamacare and any other health care the government provides. This will probably have no impact on the economy. American people are resilient. Since Obamacare has been introduced we have cured cancer, heart disease, diabetes and eradicated all superbugs. Women get pregnant when they want to and any medical complications with being a female has disappeared. So why do we need Planned Parenthood? There are millions of people who could now purchase medical insurance and have now figured out it's not really needed. People over 65 have discovered that they can believe away all conditions that make life more challenging as they grow older. Medicare, Smedicare who needs it? The American economy can suck up the tens of thousands of medical people who will lose their jobs now that fewer people can pay those medical bills because of having Obamacare. Heck, think of the tax savings we could give to citizens when the government folds the FDA, CDC and the entire Health and Human Services Department. Poor Ben Carson, just when he gets to do something important, they kill the department.
Obamacare is worthless for all the reasons mentioned and its demise is surely welcomed. America will be great again without it.
