To the Editor:
It appears that we can all go to bed now at night without having to worry about from where our president-elect is getting his intelligence information. It is coming from the Ecuadorian Embassy in Great Britain. The WikiLeaks founder and editor-in-chief, Julian Assange, has been granted political asylum there to protect him from Sweden and the United States.
Sweden wants him for rape and sexual misconduct allegations. The United States wants him for espionage, conspiracy to commit espionage, and stealing U.S. property allegations. He is in the Ecuadorian Embassy where he has been living for the last few years. I’m guessing that his intelligence information that he is passing along to our president-elect is coming to the embassy where he then forwards it to Trump Towers.
It is worrisome that our intelligence-gathering organizations, who have years of experience and healthy working relationships with our allies and friends worldwide, are not being believed by the incoming administration while WikiLeaks and Julian Assange are taken very seriously. I wonder if Julian is being led on by one or more of our enemies.
