Upcoming programs at Newark library

The Charles B. Phillips Library has announced the following upcoming programs. The library is located at 6 N. Jackson Street in Newark.

Friday Matinee: Warm up at the Charles B. Phillips Library on Friday, Jan. 13 at 2 p.m. and enjoy the featured film Sully. Based on the true story, Captain Chelsey “Sully” career gets threaten after he makes make an impossible landing on the Hudson River. Popcorn and refreshments will be provided.

Tuesday Morning Book Chat: Enjoy tea, pastries, and the discussion on The Snow Child by Eowyn Ivey on Tuesday, Jan. 17 at 10 a.m. Books and audiobooks are available at the circulation desk.

Storytime: Explore the Arctic animals of penguins, polar bears, and walrus at Storytime. Dance, sing, listen to stories, and create a craft each week on Thursdays, Jan. 12, 19, and 26 at 10:30 a.m. Registration required.

PJ Storytime : Change into your pajamas then head over to the library for PJ Storytime. Settle down for the night with some stories, music, and milk and cookies on Tuesday, Jan. 17 at 6:30 p.m. Registration required.

Lego Club: Lego enthusiast will be challenge to create a sled and then race it against the other competitors at Lego Club on Wednesday, Jan. 18 at 4 p.m.
