The American Cancer Society has decided to merge the Relay For Life of Oswego, Montgomery, Yorkville and Relay For Life of Plano, Sandwich, Somonauk. The new event will be called “Relay For Life of Kendall County” and be at Yorkville High School on a Saturday in June. The date will be announced next month. For more information, visit relayforlife.org/kendallil.
The Relay For Life movement unites communities across the globe to celebrate people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and take action to finish the fight once and for all.
Relay For Life events are community gatherings where teams and individuals camp out at a school, park or fairground and take turns walking or running around a track or path.
Teams participate in fundraising in the months leading up to the event.
Dollars raised help the American Cancer Society save lives by funding groundbreaking cancer research, by supporting education and risk-reduction efforts, and by providing free information and critical services for people with cancer who need them.
Take action this year and help make cancer a priority by participating or donating to the Relay For Life of Kendall County. Visit relayforlife.org/kendallil or relayforlife.org to learn more about the event, or contact Kristen Kolwelter at 708-633-7771 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
