Third-grade students at Lynn G. Haskin Elementary School in Sandwich were recently visited by Mrs. Andrea Barker, the “Art in Science” teacher. The students learned about hearts, Valentine’s Day, colors and the work of Wassily Kandinsky, an abstract artist who used shapes to convey emotions. The students then created their own masterpieces by drawing colorful hearts with multicolored backgrounds.
