Rush-Copley Medical Group recently announced the addition of board-certified gastroenterologist Tommy Pacana, M.D.
Dr. Pacana graduated from the St. Luke’s College of Medicine in Quezon City, Philippines.
He completed his internal medicine residency at North Shore Long Island Jewish Forest Hills in Forest Hills, New York and a gastroenterology fellowship at the VCU Medical Center in Richmond, Virginia.
He is a professional member of the American College of Physicians, American Medical Association, American College of Gastroenterology, American Gastroenterological Association and the American Association for the Study of Liver Disease.
Dr. Pacana’s special medical interests include nonalcoholic and alcoholic liver disease, liver cirrhosis, portal hypertension, hepatocellular carcinoma, gastro esophageal reflux disease (GERD), helicobacter pylori infection, Barrett’s esophagus, celiac disease, inflammatory bowel disease, colon cancer prevention, diverticular disease, and microscopic colitis.
