Domestic battery charge

County sheriff's deputies arrested Dario Carmona, Sr., 39, of the 30th block of Anchor Drive, Oswego Township, at his residence on a charge of domestic battery March 13 at 8 a.m. Police said the suspect spit on another household member. Police said the suspect was transported to the County Jail in Yorkville pending court proceedings.

Warrant arrest in Aurora

County sheriff's deputies with the assistance of Aurora police arrested Brian G. Labombarbe, 20, of the 400 block of Ashland Avenue, Aurora, at his residence March 7. Police said Labombarbe was wanted on a Kendall County warrant for failure to appear in court on a prior charge of possession of a stolen vehicle charge. Police said the suspect was taken into custody without incident and transported to the County Jail pending court proceedings.

DUI among charges

County sheriff's deputies arrested Joseph E. Brown, 21, of the 600 block of Redtail Court, Yorkville, after the vehicle he was driving was involved in a crash on Galena Road at Eldamain Road March 8 at 10:45 p.m. Police said Brown faces charges of possession of a controlled substance and driving under the influence. In addition, he was cited for illegal transportation of alcohol, illegal lane usage and failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash. Police said no one was injured in the crash.

Vehicle damaged

Someone tossed a cinder block through the window of a vehicle parked in the 300 block of Country Lane in Yorkville March 7, the county sheriff's office reported. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $300.

Contraband investigated

County sheriff's deputies took a report March 9 of an attempt to bring contraband into the County Jail in Yorkville. Police said suspects have been identified and the case remains under investigation.

Cicero man arrested

County sheriff's deputies arrested Manuel Castelo-Garcia, 40, of the 1800 block of South 57th Street, Cicero, while responding to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the vicinity of Brisbin Road south of Route 52 in Lisbon Township. Police said Castelo-Garcia has been charged with driving while license revoked and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

Mailboxes damaged

An unidentified vehicle struck and damaged three mailboxes in the 1500 block of Little Rock Road in Little Rock Township March 9, according to the county sheriff's office. Police said they are investigating.
