Vehicle burglary

Someone broke into a vehicle parked in the 2600 block of Caliendo Circle overnight March 13 and stole a wallet, Montgomery police reported. Police said they are investigating.

Warrant arrest

Montgomery police arrested Carl Buggs, 38, of the 400 block of East Indian Trail, Aurora, after stopping his vehicle for an equipment violation on River Street and James Street March 11 at 11:47 p.m. Police said Buggs was wanted on a Kane County warrant for failure to appear in court on a prior charge of aggravated domestic battery and ticketed for driving on an expired driver’s license and having only one headlight.

Motorist facing charges

Montgomery police arrested Adriana Rodriguez, 18, of the 400 block of South State Street, Aurora, after stopping her vehicle for failure to dim headlights March 12 at 5:23 a.m. on Douglas Road and Parker Drive. Police said Rodriguez has been charged with failure to dim headlights, obstructing identification and driving on a suspended license.

Retail theft charge

Montgomery police arrested Ricardo Alejandre 19, of the 4000 block of Southerland, Oswego, on a charge of retail theft at a store in the 2000 block of Orchard Road March 11 at 9:02 p.m. Police said store officials told them that the suspect concealed merchandise upon his person and passed the last point of sale without paying for the merchandise.

ID theft reported

A Montgomery resident told village police March 11 that someone obtained their personal information and used it to open up numerous credit card accounts in their name without authorization.

Multiple violations

Montgomery police cited Ramiro Arraiza, 26, of the 1000 block of Pearl Street, Aurora, for driving without a valid license, speeding and having an expired registration after they stopped his vehicle on Montgomery Road at Park Drive, March 14.
