Police seek information on Minooka armed robbery

The Kendall County Sheriff’s Office is looking for information on an armed robbery that occurred Monday at a gas station in the Kendall County side of Minooka.

Sheriff’s police said deputies were dispatched to a gas station in the 17000 block of Ridge Road in Minooka at approximately 11:40 a.m. Monday for a report of an armed robbery that had just occurred.

Police said the clerk reported that a male subject entered the store armed with a handgun, and demanded cash from the cash register. The alleged robber was described as African-American, in his early 20s with a medium build, wearing a blue hoodie, black coat, blue jeans, and white rimmed sunglasses with a reflective type lens, police said.

The suspect left the scene in a blue Dodge Charger headed southbound on Ridge Road, police said. None of the customers, or the clerk, sustained any injuries during this incident, police said.

Kendall County Sheriff’s deputies are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the male suspect in this incident.
