Dr. Shaily Macker, a board-certified family medicine physician, has joined the Morris Hospital Yorkville Campus, 105 Saravanos Drive, Yorkville.
As a family medicine physician, Dr. Macker is trained to care for patients of all ages, from newborns to seniors. In addition to diagnosing and treating illness, Dr. Macker provides preventive care, routine checkups, health risk assessments, immunizations, screening tests, and personalized counseling on maintaining a healthy lifestyle. She has a specific interest in preventive care, women’s health, and acute and chronic disease management.
“My goal is to provide excellent, compassionate and personalized care for patients,” Dr. Macker said. “Morris Hospital is a close-knit hospital where people know each other and their patients well. Here, people care for each other like family. I feel I will fit in very well.”
Dr. Macker attended medical school and completed an internship at Government Medical College in Surat, India. She completed a three-year family medicine residency at Akron General Hospital in Akron, Ohio. Prior to joining Morris Hospital, Dr. Macker practiced as a family medicine physician for more than 11 years, including the last two years at an outpatient setting in Shorewood, Illinois.
