Plano man injured
A Plano resident, Eric Capps, 59, of the 300 block of Sweetbriar Street was injured April 2 at 7:54 a.m. when he turned his vehicle right onto Mill Street at South East River Road and struck the bridge, Montgomery police reported. Police said Capps was transported to an area hospital.
Retail theft arrest
Montgomery police arrested Virginia L. Hale, 49, of the 1500 block of Schafer Avenue, Bolingbrook, on a charge of retail theft at a store in the 1900 block of Hill Avenue April 9 at 1:45 p.m. Police said Hale was observed attempting to leave the store without paying for merchandise in her possession.
Motorist faces charges
Montgomery police arrested Fernando A. Olmedo, 18, of the 300 block of West Park Avenue, Aurora, after stopping his vehicle for a speeding violation on Montgomery Road at Crown Drive April 9 at 10:38 a.m. Police said Olmedo has been charged with driving on a suspended license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and speeding.
Burglary suspect in custody
Montgomery police arrested Jason Bock, 18, of the 400 block of West Indian Trail, Aurora, April 6 at 12:05 a.m. in the 2100 block of Orchard Road. Police said Bock entered a motor vehicle and stole the keys. However, he was confronted by the vehicle owner and fled the scene, dropping the keys. Bock was later located and apprehended in Batavia and transported to the Kendall County Jail in Yorkville pending a bond call.
Montgomery police arrested Wayne Richmond, 24, of the 1700 block of Heatherstone Avenue, April 5 on a Kendall County warrant for failure to appear in court on a prior charge of violation of an order of protection. Police said Richmond was transported to the Kendall County Jail in Yorkville.
Bogus bill reported
A business in the 1200 block of Ogden Avenue in Montgomery reported that an individual withdrew money from his account at the business April 4 but returned later to report that one of the bills he received was counterfeit, according to Montgomery police.
Employee theft case
Montgomery police took a report April 4 of an employee at a business in the 100 block of North Main Street stealing from other employees at the business. Police said the accused employee had left the business prior to the arrival of officers.
ID theft reported
A Montgomery resident told village police April 4 that someone had opened up eight checking accounts in her name and without her authorization.
