Assault investigation

County sheriff’s deputies are investigating an assault that occurred at a residence in the 2400 block of Light Road in Oswego Township April 16 at 10:51 a.m. Police indicated they have identified a suspect or suspects in the case.

Vehicle burglary report

County sheriff’s deputies took a burglary to vehicle report at a residence in the 60th block of Paddock Street in Boulder Hill April 13. Police said a check, approximately $100 in cash and a Garmin GPS unit were stolen from the vehicle which had been left unlocked. Police said they are investigating.

DUI arrest

County sheriff’s deputies arrested Alejandra De Santiago, 21, of the 2800 block of Homan Avenue, Chicago, after stopping his vehicle for improper lane usage on Millhurst Road at Oakbrook Road in Fox Township, April 15 at 3:11 a.m. Police said De Santiago was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence and transported to the county jail in Yorkville pending court proceedings.

Screens damaged

Someone removed a screen and damaged another screen at a home in the 10-20 block of Greenfield Road in Boulder Hill April 15, county sheriff’s deputies reported.

Two ticketed in crash

A Joliet resident, Cristian Roldan, 27, of the 500 block of Fort Clatsop Court, received minor injuries when the motorcycle he was driving struck a car on Ridge Road at Holt Road in Seward Township April 10 at 11:53 a.m. Police said Roldan was cited for not having a motorcycle classification on his driver’s license. He refused medical treatment, according to police. The driver of the car, Rosanne Felix, 59, of the 15000 block of Creekside Drive, Plainfield, was ticketed for failing to yield at a stop intersection, police said.

Vehicle drives off road

County sheriff’s deputies are investigating an incident in which an unknown vehicle drove off the roadway and struck a fence on River Road approximately 80 feet east of Fox River Road.

Light Road apartment burglary

A resident of the 2400 block of Light Road in Oswego Township told county sheriff’s deputies that someone stole his electronic cigarette and some currency from his apartment April 10 at 6 p.m.

Warrant arrest

County sheriff’s deputies arrested a juvenile on an in-state warrant after stopping the vehicle he was driving for a speeding violation April 10 at 11:04 p.m. on Grove Road at Caton Farm Road in NaAuSay Township.

Bristol man injured

A 54-year-old Bristol resident, Steven H. Shafer, was injured April 12 at 7:23 a.m. when he was struck by a minivan while in his driveway, according to the county sheriff’s office. Police said Shafer was transported to Rush-Copley Medial Center in Aurora by Bristol-Kendall Fire Protection District paramedics.

ID theft reported

County sheriff’s deputies took an identity theft report April 12 at a residence on Hillstone Road in Boulder Hill. Police said the victim’s estranged wife had made a purchase using the proceeds from the victim’s disability payment.
