Two hurt in Route 30 crash

Two motorists were injured in a two-vehicle crash on Route 30 at Fifth Street April 17 at 10:44 a.m., according to Oswego police. Police said the driver of one of the vehicles, Nicholas Wasersztrom, 74, of Oswego, was transported to an area hospital. The other driver involved in the crash, a juvenile from Aurora, was hurt, but not transported to a hospital, police said. Wasersztrom was ticketed for failure to yield while turning left, according to police.

Retail theft arrest

Oswego police arrested Helen Flores, 58, of the 500 block of Ashland Avenue, Aurora, on a charge of retail theft at a store in the 3000 block of Route 34 April 17 at 6:22 p.m. Police said Flores posted bond and was released pending a court appearance next month.

Crash reported

A Yorkville resident told Oswego police that he was driving northbound on Route 71 from Orchard Road April 15 at 5:41 p.m. when another motorist cut him off in traffic and his vehicle swerved and hit a curb on the passenger side of his vehicle. Police said the motorist was not hurt.

Domestic battery arrest

Oswego police arrested Josie M. Hall, 50, of the 700 block of Churchill Lane, Oswego, at her residence April 14 at 12:55 p.m. on a charge of domestic battery. Police said Hall was transported to the County Jail in Yorkville pending court proceedings.

Cellphone goes missing

A cellphone valued at $900 was reported lost or stolen at a store in the 3000 block of Route 34 in Oswego April 14, according to Oswego police.

DUI arrest

Oswego police arrested Hitesh K. Doshi, 49, of the 300 block of White Pines Drive, Oswego, after stopping his vehicle on Route 34 at Boulder Hill Pass April 13 at 11:27 p.m. Police said Doshi has been charged with driving under the influence and ticketed for failure to signal and improper lane usage. Police said he posted bond and was released pending a court appearance next month.

iPhone stolen

An iPhone valued at $700 was stolen from a gym locker at Traughber Junior High School on Colchester Drive April 12, Oswego police reported.

Warrant arrest

Oswego police arrested Simeon Salter, 31, of the 400 block of Watson Street, Aurora, on Douglas Road at Route 34 on a warrant for failure to appear in court. Police said Salter was detained at the Aurora police station.

Cited for leaving scene

Oswego police ticketed Edward T. Polito, 59, of the 100 block of Chesterfield Drive, Oswego, for leaving the scene of an accident April 13 at 7:48 p.m. Police said Polito hit a fire hydrant when he turned onto Chesterfield Drive from Route 34 and then continued to drive to his residence.
