Letters to the Editor

Letter: SKY 5K thanks

To the Editor:

On behalf of the Kendall County Juvenile Justice Council (JJC), we would like to thank everyone who helped make our third SKY 5K run/walk fundraiser a great success. We had over 285 registered participants and over 20 volunteers.

We would like to send a special thank you to our generous sponsors: Chick-fil-A of Oswego; Colosimo, Ewing and Smith Law Offices; Golden Seal Heating and Air Conditioning (David Vick); Salsa Verde; Grundy-Kendall Regional Office of Education; Jimmy John’s; Kendall County Sheriff’s FOP Lodge #195; Law Office of Andrew Nickel; Rush Copley; Law Office of Jody Weis; Law Office of Daniel Transier; Law Office of Lisa Coffey; Law Office of Lisa Accardi; Law Elder Law, LLP; Law Offices of Majer, Sheen and Piereth; Gateway Foundation Aurora; Heartland Bank & Trust; Kendall County Bar Association; Kendall County Chiefs of Police; Morris Hospital, Yorkville Campus; Patelli’s of Yorkville; Rosecrance; Sheriff Dwight Baird; Waubonsee Community College; Curtis and Sadie Devick Family; Russell and Ardys Hughes Family; Attorney Thomas Grant; Brothers Country Supply; J &J Sales; Kendall County Board; Law Office of Daniel Kramer; Meijer; Synergy Financial Services and Victoria Chuffo (Kendall County Public Defender). We also had numerous businesses who we thank for donating prizes for the winners of the event.

Without all these sponsors, we never could have had such a great successful fundraiser. We also wish to thank the Bristol Kendall Fire Protection District for being present just in case there were any injuries and to the Kendall County Forest Preserve District for allowing us to have the 5K in the beautiful Hoover Forest Preserve. Kim Olson of the Forest Preserve deserves a special thank you for going above and beyond her duties to assist us in getting the course perfect. The JJC has a lot of upcoming events planned to help the youth of Kendall County, so follow us on Facebook to find out our upcoming schedule.
