To the Editor:
It is with deep gratitude and appreciation that I say thank you to all of you who were able to come to my beloved husband Phil Siedlecki’s wake and funeral and for reaching out to me if you were unable to come but wanted to share your blessings on not only Phil, but the rest of the family. With the suddenness of his death, I want to extend my thanks to Dunn Funeral Home as well for their compassion and help to get through the process that we were totally unprepared for.
Thank you to my family that was with me every step of the way. Also huge hugs to Oswego 308 Transportation who went above and beyond to give a loving send off to Phil and to be there for me as well. Many thanks to neighbors and friends we’ve made along the way
Thanks to my friends in the Oswegoland Woman’s Civic Club, the Antique Study Group, the Knights of Columbus, the Ladies Auxiliary, and the Oswego Senior Center for stepping in wherever the need arose.
In lieu of flowers, we asked for donations to the Oswego Senior Center. So many of you have already donated through me and much more is arriving directly to the senior center, especially for the garden that Phil so lovingly tended. There will be a cleanup in preparation for the garden planting this Saturday, May 20, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., weather permitting. Please call Ruth or Pat at the senior center at 630-554-5602, or email at email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org, if you want to keep up Phil’s work there as I know he will be looking down hoping we do just that.
There’s lots of recycling batteries, K cups, light bulbs, etc., that Phil also took care of each month. So if you want to continue paying your respects to Phil, please inquire what you can do to help with that too.
It is only with the support and kindness of our family, friends, and God’s grace that I am hoping to carry on Phil’s passions, so I hope you will join me. Thanks so much.
