Plano police arrested Nestor D. Ortega, 28, of the 500 block of Hemmingsen Street, Plano, while responding to a report of a property damage accident at a gas station in the 1000 block of Route 34 Aug. 4 at 9:40 p.m. Police said they took Ortega into custody after they learned he was wanted on a Kendall County warrant for failure to appear in court on a prior offense. Police said Ortega was also cited for operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
Plano police arrested Jacob J. Harvey, 38, of the 600 block of East 6th Street, Sandwich, after they stopped his vehicle on Route 34 at Waubonsee Drive Aug. 4 at 10:18 p.m. Police said they determined that Harvey had been consuming alcohol and an open container of alcohol was found in his vehicle. Police said Harvey declined to perform a standard field sobriety test and was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence. He later posted bond and was released pending a court appearance next month.
Plano police arrested Joe Junior Meeks III, 21, of the 500 block of May Street, Plano, after they stopped his vehicle in the area of Route 34 and Needham Road Aug. 4 at 6:41 p.m. Police said Meeks was charged with driving on a suspended license. He is scheduled to appear in court on the charge next month.
Plano police arrested Macio M. Harger, 41, of the 4000 block of Dobbins Street, Plano, Aug. 4 at 12:40 p.m. on Foli Street at Dobbin Street. Police said Harger was wanted on a DeKalb County warrant for failure to appear in court on a prior driving under the influence of alcohol charge. He was taken into custody and transported to the county jail in Yorkville to await a bond hearing or extradition to DeKalb County.
