Letter: Anonymous donation to Historical Society

To the Editor:

There is a mystery unfolding in Plano.

Some kind and caring person slid a Cedardell Golf Club share of the Capital stock, dated Sept. 30, 1926, under the Plano Railroad Depot door, along with a group picture of employees of the Gray Stamping and Manufacturing Co. taken Sept. 21, 1938.

Kay Mulliner, Plano Railroad Depot attendant, presented the gifts to Anne Sears, and Anne presented them to the Plano Historical Society at their meeting at the Plano Library on Tuesday, Sept. 22.

Please contact any member, or president Mayor Bob Hausler, of the Plano Historical Society. It is important to know the names in the group picture and history of the Cedardell Golf Club share of stock.

The anonymous gift is a wonderful piece of Plano history, however, it would be good to know more of the history of both of these pieces. You may also use the Plano Historical Society Post Office Box 112 at the Plano post office.

Thanks again for the anonymous donation.
