Roundup: Plano boys runners seventh at Amboy Columbus Day Invite

CROSS COUNTRY

Plano: The Reapers' boys team played seventh out of 26 teams at the Amboy Columbus Day Invite on Oct. 9. Sebastian Esparza led the team with a time 16:20, placing 20th out of 177 runners. Martin Diaz (freshman), Jorge Aguilar (junior) and Brandon Littlefair ran as a pack and placed 40th, 44th and 50th respectively. Plano's score was rounded out by Juan Puga (freshman), who ran his fastest time of the season, 19:48.

The girls team placed 23rd and was led by another strong performance by Rachelle Gomez, who placed 75th with a time 22:12. Senior Sam Stamper had one of her best performances of the season.

SOCCER

Plano: The Reapers wrapped up the regular season with an 8-0 loss to Peotone on Oct. 5.

VOLLEYBALL

Plano: The Reapers beat Seneca 25-22, 23-25, 25-16 on Oct. 10. Plano previously lost to Mendota and Peotone.
