PLANO – Two Plano residents are facing disorderly conduct charges after falsely claiming a motor vehicle had been stolen Tuesday morning from a Plano neighborhood, police said.
Plano police responded around 6:40 a.m. Tuesday to the 900 block of Canham Street in Plano for a report of a stolen vehicle, according to a news release from the Plano Police Department.
After some investigation, police said, they determined the theft did not occur.
Muneer H. Suluki-Johnson, 38, of the 900 block of Canham Street, Plano, and Tracy D. Bray, 39, of the same address, were charged with attempting to file a false police report.
The two were later released on bond and are next due in court in January.
Kendall County sheriff's deputies assisted in the investigation.
