PLANO – An 18-year-old Plano man faces multiple drug charges after police responded to a car-versus-tree crash Monday afternoon in Plano and found him with multiple bags of cannabis.
Plano police responded just after 4:30 p.m. Monday to the 1000 block of West Route 34 in Plano for a reported property damage incident, according to a news release from the Plano Police Department.
Ubaldo Lara Jr., 18, of the 0 to 100 block of Stainfield Drive, Plano, had driven a vehicle into a tree in the rear of a property.
No one was injured in the incident.
After further investigation, police found multiple bags of cannabis. Lara was charged with possession of cannabis with intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia and improper lane usage.
Lara was transferred to the Kendall County jail awaiting a bond hearing.
