Baby Jesus ornament stolen
A resident of the 100 block of Saugatuck Road in Boulder Hill told county sheriff’s deputies that someone took a baby Jesus lawn ornament from the yard of the home sometime between Dec. 18 and Dec. 22. Police said they have no suspect information.
No charges filed
County sheriff’s deputies were summoned to a home in the 700 block of Route 25 Dec. 23 at 2:15 p.m. on a report of domestic violence. Police said the complainant reported being struck in the face by a family member. However, police said no charges were filed.
Motorist ticketed, injured
County sheriff’s deputies ticketed a Millington resident, Brandon Hughes, 38, after the vehicle he was driving was involved in a crash on Fox River Drive at Griswold Springs Road in Little Rock Township Dec. 24 at 5:30 p.m. Police said Hughes was injured when his vehicle struck a guardrail. He was taken to an area hospital where he was treated for non-life-threatening injures.
ID theft reported
County sheriff’s deputies took a report of identity theft from a resident of Townhouse Road in Newark Dec. 23. Police said the victim told them of finding fraudulent charges made to her credit card between Nov. 15 and Dec. 12.
County sheriff’s deputies arrested Rustin Hocker, 28, of the 0-99 block of Fieldpoint Road in Boulder Hill at his home Dec. 23 at 4:33 a.m. on a charge of domestic battery. Police said Hocker was taken to the county jail in Yorkville pending a bond hearing.
Boulder Hill hit-and-run
Oswego police took a report of a hit-and-run crash that occurred in the 0-100 block of Hillcrest Court in Boulder Hill Dec. 22 at 11:30 p.m. Police said they are investigating.
County sheriff’s deputies arrested Matthew Waite, 49, of Oswego after stopping his vehicle Dec. 22 at 8:47 p.m. on Route 34 at Heritage Drive. Police said Waite was wanted on a warrant for failing to appear in court on a prior charge.
Minor injuries in Rt. 71 crash
A Morris resident, Paula A. Olson, 32, was injured in a single-vehicle crash in the 7000 block of Route 71 Dec. 24 at 10:58 a.m. Police said Bristol-Kendall Fire Protection District EMS personnel took Olson to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Electronics stolen in burglary
County sheriff’s deputies took a report of a burglary from a home in the 100 block of Harbor Drive in Oswego Township Dec. 23. Police said the victim reported electronics valued at over $350 were stolen sometime between Dec. 19 and Dec. 23. Police said they are investigating.
County sheriff’s deputies arrested Elycsa Jones, 28, of Montgomery while responding a report of a suspicious noise in the 100 block of Fernwood Road in Boulder Hill Dec. 24 at 4:07 a.m. Police said Jones was taken into custody when they learned she was wanted on a Florida warrant for grand theft. She was taken to the Kendall County Jail in Yorkville pending court proceedings.
Motorist cited in rollover crash
County sheriff’s deputies ticketed Guadalupe Galvan, 36, of Cicero with driving on a suspended license and driving too fast for conditions Dec. 24 at 10:56 a.m. Police said Galvan lost control of his truck due to snowy conditions while driving on Eldamain Road north of Schafer Road Dec. 24 at 10:56 a.m. Police said Galvan’s truck rolled over, but he refused medical treatment from Little Rock-Fox EMS personnel at the scene.
Motorist ticketed in crash
County sheriff’s deputies ticketed Ardian Uriah Krueger, 19, of the 300 block of San Carlos Road, Minooka, with driving too fast for conditions and failure to report an accident Dec. 25 at 9:01 a.m. Police said Krueger was driving westbound on Jughandle Road in Seward Township at 6:15 a.m. Dec. 25, approaching a curve, when he lost control of his vehicle and it struck a tree. Krueger then left the scene without notifying the property owner or the sheriff’s office of the crash, according to police.
Hit, run on Cannonball Trail
An unknown vehicle left the road in the 60th block of Cannonball Trail in Bristol Dec. 22 at 12:30 a.m., struck a tree and damaged the yard of a residence, according to the sheriff’’s office. Police said the incident is under investigation.
Air rifle damage reported
Someone used an air rifle to shoot out the driver’s side window of a vehicle parked in the 10 block of Saugatuck Road in Boulder Hill Dec. 21 at 8:30 p.m., according to the sheriff’s office. Police said they are investigating.
Investigate battery report
County sheriff’s deputies are investigating a report of a battery at a home in the 0-99 block of Winrock Road in Boulder Hill Dec. 19 at 5 p.m. Police said no charges have been filed pending the outcome of the investigation.
A resident of the 8000 block of Route 126, Kendall Township, told county sheriff’s deputies Dec. 20 he was defrauded out of money and construction materials during a construction project at the home last May.
Spray paint damage reported
County sheriff’s deputies are investigating an incident in which someone trespassed onto a vacant property in the 3200 block of Van Dyke Road in Seward Township late Dec. 21 or early Dec. 22 and spray-painted a home, barn and vehicles on the property.
