Summoned to Light Road
County sheriff’s deputies were summoned to a residence in the 2000 block of Light Road in Oswego Township Jan. 31 at 7 p.m. on a report of a domestic battery. Police, however, said the allegations could not be substantiated, no one was found to be injured and no arrests were made.
A vehicle parked in the 0-99 block of Hampton Road in Boulder Hill was found damaged Jan. 31, according to the county sheriff’s office. Police said they are investigating.
License, registration violations
County sheriff’s deputies cited Jordan Johnson, 29, of the 1000 block of Hazelnut Street, Aurora, with driving on a suspended license and having an expired registration sticker after they stopped his vehicle on Orchard Road at Lewis Street in Oswego Jan. 31 at 9:04 p.m. Police said Johnson was released at the scene.
A pack of cigarettes was reported stolen from a business in the 300 block of Route 71 in Newark Jan. 30 at 6:30 p.m., according to the county sheriff’s office.
County sheriff’s deputies arrested Rebecca E.A. Cooper, 27, of Montgomery at a home in the 0-99 block of Ingleshire Road in Boulder Hill Jan. 30. Police said Cooper was wanted on a Kendall County warrant for failure to appear in court on a prior charge of driving on a suspended license.
County sheriff’s deputies arrested China Suggs, 22, of the 400 block of West Park Avenue, Aurora, after stopping her vehicle on Amesbury Road at Long Beach Road Jan. 30 at 10:11 p.m. for having no registration light. Police said Suggs was cited for driving on a suspended license.
Arrest warrant, no license
County sheriff’s deputies arrested Shanise Lassiter, 26, of the 3700 block of Pope Court, Plano, at 10:52 p.m. Feb. 2 on a warrant from Kane County as well as not having a valid driver’s license following a traffic stop at Route 34 and Beecher Road in Bristol Township.
Strikes building in Newark
County sheriff’s deputies responded to the 0-100 block of East Main Street in Newark at 2:34 p.m. Feb. 1 for a call that a vehicle had struck a building overnight.
County sheriff’s deputies arrested Lauren Jones, 35, of the 0-50 block of East Jackson Street in Oswego at 11:35 a.m. Feb. 1 on an outstanding warrant for failing to appear in court on a DUI charge.
County sheriff’s deputies arrested Ernesto Camacho, 23, of the 500 block of May Street in Plano, at 12:37 p.m. Feb. 1 on a failure to appear warrant for a charge of driving on a suspended license.
County sheriff’s deputies arrested Matthew Jorgensen, 25, of the 400 block of Lennox Drive, Oswego, on a DUI charge after they responded to a report of a vehicle in a ditch near Plainfield Road and Collins Road.
County sheriff’s deputies cited Jessica M. Kristof, 23, of the 300 block of Mill Street, Yorkville, at 12:34 p.m. Feb. 5 on charges of driving with a suspended license following a traffic stop for speeding at Route 25 and Boulder Hill Pass.
Rolled vehicle into Fox River
Sheriff’s deputies cited Edwin Chacon-Cortez, 18, of the 900 block of Lebanon Street, Aurora, for having no valid driver’s license and improper lane use on Feb. 5 after police said he lost control of his vehicle while he was traveling north in the 1300 block of Route 25 and it rolled into the Fox River. Chacon-Cortez was not hurt in the crash, police said.
