Three hurt, one cited in Rt. 71 crash
Three people were injured in a two vehicle crash on Route 71 at Forest Street Jan. 30 at 5:53 p.m., Oswego police reported.
Police said a driver of one of the vehicles involved in the crash, Liliana G. Kantola, 44, of Aurora, was injured and transported to an area hospital. Kantola was also cited by police for failure to yield the right-of-way.
The driver of the other vehicle involved in the crash, Leslie D. Finke, 71, and a passenger in Finnke's vehicle, Diann D. Finke, 69, both of Naperville were injured but not transported to the hospital, according to police.
Hit and run crash reported
Oswego police took a report of a hit and run crash that occurred in the 3800 block of Route 34 in Oswego Jan. 31 at 7:15 p.m. Police said damage to the victim's car was estimated at more than $1,500.
Man waves knife
Oswego police took a report at 8:50 p.m. on Feb. 2 about a man who waved a knife at another man in the 1800 block of U.S. Route 30, after the alleged victim told the man to pick up his garbage.
Motorist facing charges
Oswego police arrested Ashley N. Pike, 20, of the 200 block of East Washington Street, Oswego, after stopping her vehicle on Washington Street at Ashland Street Jan. 30 at 2:53 p.m. Police said Pike was charged with driving while license suspended, speeding and no insurance. She posted bond and was released pending a court appearance.
Oswego police arrested Calvin R. Curry, 24, of the 500 block of East First Street, Sandwich, after stopping his vehicle on Route 34 at Mason Square shopping center Jan. 29 at 1:47 p.m. Police said Curry was charged with driving while license suspended. He posted bond and was released pending a court appearance.
Report credit card fraud
Oswego police are investigating a credit card fraud incident that occurred Jan. 31 at 12:40 p.m. at a store in the 2700 block of Route 34. Police said the victim in the case is a 78 year-old village resident.
