Letter: New rock wall at CCGS

A rock wall was recently installed at Circle Center Grade School in Yorkville for the students to enjoy. The 40 foot lateral rock wall in the gym will help students develop their gross motor skills, social-emotional skills, and cognitive skills with new and exciting activities. The rock wall was made possible by the fundraising efforts of the PTO throughout the year.

To the Editor:

Circle Center Grade School in Yorkville has a new rock wall in the gym and over 30 new tablets for students to use in their classrooms. áThe new purchases were all possible due to fundraising throughout the school year; primarily the Winter Wonderland Festival in November.

The PTO at Circle Center would like to thank every member of the community, the generous local businesses, and all the Circle Center families. Every single donation whether it was monetary, an item for the raffle, or time spent volunteering made this possible.

The students now have a 40 foot lateral rock wall in the gym that will help them develop their gross motor skills, social-emotional skills and cognitive skills with new and exciting activities. Each classroom will also have new tablets filled with educational content to grow their “bubble brains." The Yorkville community continues to support our young students year after year. It is just another example that this is a wonderful community that we are proud to be part of.
