A suspect has been arrested in Waukegan in connection with an attempted arson incident at an Oswego home, according to Oswego police.
The Kendall County State’s Attorney’s Office has charged Colin J. Davy, 28, whose last known address was in the 300 block of Genesee Street, Waukegan, with attempted residential arson.
Police said Davy’s arrest stems from an incident that occurred May 1 at a home in the 200 block of Woodford Road. Police said they were summoned to the residence May 2 on a report of an attempted arson that had occurred overnight.
Davy is alleged to have poured a flammable liquid on the front door, porch furniture and plants outside of the home and then ignited it, causing partial damage, police said.
No one was injured in the incident, according to police.
Police said detectives completed their investigation May 7, and a Kendall County judge issued a warrant for Davy’s arrest.
Davy was arrested in Waukegan and was transported to the Kendall County Jail in Yorkville, where his bond has been set at $50,000, police said.
He was scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, May 15.
