Agents with the U.S. Marshals Service Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force, in cooperation with the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office and the Aurora Police Department, apprehended Shamar Johnson, 21, of Montgomery in the 600 block of South River Street in Aurora June 11, according to the county sheriff's office.
Johnson was wanted by the sheriff's office and the Aurora police for failure to register as a sex offender. Johnson had been a fugitive since May 3.
Johnson was taken into custody and transported to the Aurora police station without incident.
