Arrest youths in Boulder Hill fight

County sheriff's deputies arrested two juveniles, a boy and a girl, on battery charges in connection with a fight that occurred in the 0-99 block of Winrock Road in Boulder Hill at 5:17 p.m. Aug. 6. Police said the boy was also charged with criminal damage to property. Both suspects were referred to the county juvenile probation department.

Two hurt, one cited in crash

An Aurora resident, Yataro Morales, 30, and her 3-year-old daughter were transported by Plainfield Fire Protection District paramedics to an area hospital after their vehicle was involved in a crash on Ridge Road and Route 126 in NaAuSay Township at 1:50 p.m. Aug. 6, according to the county sheriff's office. Police described the injuries to Morales and her daughter as non-life-threatening. The driver of the other vehicle, Ramon Marquez, 22, of Joliet, was treated at the scene and ticketed for making an improper U-turn, police said.

Investigate possible domestic

County sheriff's deputies responded to a 911 call at a home on the 2000 block of Bell Road in Seward Township at 3:09 a.m. Aug. 5. Police said deputies determined that a domestic battery may have occurred during an argument among family members at the residence. Police said they are investigating.

Investigate home burglary

County sheriff's deputies are investigating a burglary that occurred at a home in the 30 block of Coffman Lane in Little Rock Township at 7:32 p.m. Aug. 5.

Respond to disturbance

County sheriff's deputies responded to a report of a possible disturbance involving the endangering of the life or health of a child at a home in the 8000 block of Van Emmon Road in Oswego Township at 10:02 p.m. Aug. 4. Police said they are investigating.

Protection order violation

County sheriff's deputies arrested Karrie L. Wright, 46, of the 100 block of Garden Drive, Boulder Hill, at her home Aug. 3 at 8:32 p.m. Police said Wright was charged with violation of an order of protection. She was taken to the county jail pending court proceedings.

Investigate domestic battery

County sheriff's deputies investigated a report of a domestic battery at a home in the 17000 block of Townhouse Road in Big Grove Township at 2:22 a.m. Aug. 4. Police said their investigation is continuing.

Two hurt, one cited in crash

County sheriff's deputies ticketed Yauhemiya Tsikhamirava, 22, of Los Angeles, California, for disobeying a stop sign after the vehicle she was driving was involved in a two-vehicle crash on Route 126 and Grove Road in NaAuSay Township at 9:53 p.m. Aug. 2. Police said Tsikhamirava and the driver of the other vehicle were treated and released at the scene by Oswego Fire Protection District paramedics.

License violation

County sheriff's deputies arrested Jason Tannenbaum of the 1100 block of East Fifth Street, Sandwich, after stopping his vehicle on Galena Road at Vilman Road in Little Rock Township at 7:22 p.m. Aug. 8. Police said Tannenbaum was charged with driving on a suspended license and released at the scene.

Obstructing, warrant arrest

County sheriff's deputies arrested Ryan D. Davis, 25, of the 700 block of East Church Street, Sandwich, on a warrant and on a charge of obstructing justice at Route 34 and McHugh Road at 10:46 p.m. Aug. 1. Police said Davis initially provided deputies with a false name in an attempt to hide his identity. Police said Davis was wanted on DeKalb County warrants for burglary and aggravated battery.

Two hurt, one cited in crash

Two motorists were injured in a two-vehicle crash on Ashe Road at Baseline Road in Bristol Township at 7:10 a.m. Aug. 1, according to the county sheriff's office. Police said the drivers of the two vehicles involved, Jasobet Jardines, 25, of Aurora and Susan Weatherford, 62, of Plano, were both treated for minor injuries at Rush Copley Medical Center in Aurora. Police said Jardines was cited for failure to yield the right of way at an intersection and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

Cash reported stolen

County sheriff's deputies took a theft report in the 6000 block of Polo Club Drive in Fox Township on Aug. 2. Police said more than $500 in cash was stolen and the incident remains under investigation.

Phone threats reported

A resident of the 100 block of Harbor Drive in Oswego Township filed a telephone threat report with county sheriff's deputies Aug. 1. Police said the victim reported receiving several phone calls of a threatening nature.

Bail bond violation checked

County sheriff's deputies responded to a home on Garden Drive in Boulder Hill on Aug. 1 on a report of a violation of a bail bond. Police said they are investigating.

Take domestic battery report

County sheriff's deputies took a report of a domestic battery involving two brothers at a home in the 0-99 block of Amesbury Road in Boulder Hill at 10:30 a.m. July 31. Police said no injuries were observed on either of the brothers.

Facing possession charge

County sheriff's deputies arrested Lendie F. Jackson, 50, of the 600 block of South River Street, Aurora, on a charge of possession of a controlled substance as they responded to a report of a possible fight in the 1100 block of Route 30 in Oswego Township at 6:11 p.m. July 31. Police said Jackson was taken to the county jail pending court proceedings.

Pallets go missing

Approximately 12 black plastic pallets were reported stolen from a business July 31 in the 9600 block of Route 34 in Bristol Township, according to the county sheriff's office.

Vehicle found damaged

County sheriff's deputies are investigating an incident involving the breaking of a windshield on a vehicle that was found abandoned July 31 on Baseline Road at Ashe Road in Bristol Township.

Mailbox found damaged

A mailbox was found damaged by a blunt object at a home in the 14000 block of Whitewillow Road in Lisbon Township on Aug. 2, according to the county sheriff's office. Police said they are investigating.

Assault reported in Boulder Hill

County sheriff's deputies are continuing their investigation into a reported battery and assault at a residence in the 0-99 block of Circle Drive East in Boulder Hill. Police said officers were told the incident occurred Aug. 1 at 8:20 p.m.

Cited for speeding, cannabis

County sheriff's deputies arrested Jessica Nicole Vacha, 21, of the 1000 block of West 15th Street, Chicago, after stopping the vehicle she was driving on Route 71 at Hollenback Road in Fox Township at 11:15 a.m. Aug. 1. Police said Vacha was charged with speeding 80 mph in a 55 mph zone and issued a civil violation for possession of less than 10 grams of cannabis.

Shed found damaged

A window on a shed in the 300 block of Tall Grass Lane in Oswego Township was found damaged Aug. 1, according to the county sheriff's office.
