Suspect found hiding in home
Plano police arrested Randall M. Thornton, 38, of the 0-10 block of North Ben Street, Plano, on a violation of a bail bond at his home Aug. 6 at 12:20 p.m. Police said the complainant went to the home to retrieve personal items and asked officers to check the residence prior to entering. Officers searched it and found Thornton hiding in an attic entry behind a bedroom wall. Police said Thornton was out on bond for a prior charge of domestic battery and, by being at the residence, had violated a 72-hour stay away order. Thornton was taken to the county jail in Yorkville pending court proceedings.
DUI among charges
Plano police arrested Joseph I. Domino, 49, of the 100 block of Melbrook Road, Bolingbrook, after they stopped his vehicle on Route 34 and Turner Avenue at 9:55 p.m. July 31. Police said Domino was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving an uninsured vehicle and improper lane use. Domino was taken to the county jail. He is scheduled to appear in court later this month.
Plano police arrested Angel Melgar-Soto, 24, of the 5200 block of Minkler Road, Yorkville, after stopping his vehicle on Mitchell Drive at Route 34 at 8 p.m. Aug. 2. Police said Melgar-Soto was charged with driving without a valid license. He was released pending an appearance at the county courthouse next month.
Plano police arrested John M. Meyer, 53, of the 600 block of LaSalle Drive, Somonauk, in the 6500 block of Route 34 at 10:41 a.m. Aug. 2. Police said Meyer was charged with driving on a revoked driver's license. He posted bond and was released pending a court appearance.
Arrested on warrant, other charges
Plano police arrested Kyle E. Rousseau, 28, of the 500 block of West Lee Street, Plano, after stopping the vehicle he was driving in the 10000 block of Route 34 at 6:49 p.m. Aug. 3. Police said Rousseau was charged with driving on a suspended license, operating an uninsured vehicle and having an expired registration. Additionally, police said Rousseau was wanted on a Kendall County warrant. Rousseau posted bond and was released pending a court appearance later this month.
