Yorkville police reports

Information in Police Reports is obtained from local police departments. Individuals in Police Reports who have been charged with a crime have not been proved guilty in court.

DUI arrest

Yorkville police arrested Kevin S. Lund, 51, of the 1000 block of Simms Court, Plano, at 3:05 a.m. on Aug. 18 on charges of driving under the influence. Police said officers arrested Lund after they came across a suspicious vehicle in the 900 block of South Bridge Street.

Revoked license

Yorkville police arrested Richard Kelly, 40, of the 8000 block of Van Emmon Street, Yorkville, at 2:54 p.m. on Aug. 17 on charges of driving on a revoked license following a traffic stop.

Warrant arrest

Yorkville police arrested Alfred Evans, 37, of the 500 block of Redbud Lane, Yorkville, at 5:01 a.m. after officers checked on a suspicious vehicle, police said. Police said Evans had a warrant for his arrest from Kendall County.

Retail theft

Yorkville police arrested Lindsey McDowell, 35, of the 30 block of W061 Chillem Drive, Batavia, at 7:05 p.m. on charges of retail theft. Police said McDowell was seen concealing items in her purse and then walking out of the store. Police said McDowell had multiple fragrance items in her possession worth $1,500.

Cited after crash

Yorkville police cited Kevin E. Peppers, 20, of the 300 block of Rand Road, Arlington Heights, at 1:35 p.m. on Aug. 19 for failure to yield on a left turn, having no insurance, and not having a driver's license on his person, after a two-vehicle crash at Route 34 and Center Parkway. Police said Peppers was trying to turn left from the eastbound lane of Route 34 onto Center Parkway when he drove into oncoming traffic, where a Chevy struck his vehicle.
