The City of Yorkville announced a pair of water main projects in town this week.
City officials said that a project to re-pipe water mains at two of the city's wells and the demolition of a well house is to begin Monday, Sept. 10.
Officials said Performance Construction & Engineering, LLC will begin the project Monday that "will generally consist of water main improvements at the city’s well number 3 and well number 4 sites and the demolition of the well number 3 building."
The project will be completed on or before Nov. 16, officials said.
The city also announced a project to construct a new water main on Hazeltine Way from Kingsmill Street to Banbury Avenue, and on Kingsmill Street west of Banbury Avenue in the Fox Highlands and Raintree Village neighborhoods.
The work will be performed by Vian Construction Company, Inc., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 28, weather permitting, officials said.
