Oswego Village President Gail Johnson announced Wednesday afternoon she plans to seek a second term as village president in the April 2019 local election.
In a statement, Johnson said, "It is with great excitement and anticipation that I announce my intention to seek re-election as Oswego’s Village President. I look forward to running for a second term and the opportunity to continue the positive momentum we as a board have built and see the vision we began in 2015 come to life."
Johnson added, "It has been a great honor to serve the residents of Oswego for the past 3 years. I am privileged to be a part of a smart, dedicated team of forward thinkers both on our staff and on the Village Board."
Prior to her election as village president, Johnson served on the village board. A long-time village resident, she has been active in numerous community and civic organizations.
