The Kendall County Sheriff’s Office has hired a new deputy sheriff to fill a vacant position in the patrol division. Scott R. Roughley II was sworn in on Sept. 13 by Undersheriff Harold Martin.
Deputy Roughley will be attending the Basic Police Training Academy beginning Sept. 17 for 14 weeks. Upon completion of the academy, he will begin the field training program. Roughley will be paired with an experienced field training officer for a rigorous 16-week field training program.
Prior to being hired by the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office, Roughley was working as a corrections officer at the Kane County Sheriff’s Office.
