Sandwich police reports

Information in Police Reports is obtained from local police departments. Individuals in Police Reports who have been charged with a crime have not been proved guilty in court.

Warrant arrest

Sandwich police arrested Kevin Lozano, 27, of the 100 block of Boulevard Street, Sandwich, in the 1200 block of East Church Street Oct. 19 at 9:20 p.m. Police said Lozano was wanted on a DeKalb County warrant for failure to appear in court on a prior charge of theft by deception. He was unable to posted bond and transported to the DeKalb County Jail in Sycamore pending court proceedings.

DUI arrest on Rt. 34

Sandwich police arrested Oliver Jurado, 26, of Montgomery Street, Aurora, after stopping his vehicle Oct. 21 at 1:04 a.m. at Route 34 and Drew Street. Police said Jurado was charged with driving under the influence. Jurado was unable to post bond and was transported to the Kendall County Jail in Yorkville pending court proceedings.

License violation

Sandwich police arrested Cristian Hernandez, 20, of East College Street, Sandwich, after stopping his vehicle in the 900 block of East Church Street Oct. 20 at 8:05 p.m. Police said Hernandez was charged with driving on a suspended license. He posted bond and was released pending an appearance at the Kendall County Courthouse in Yorkville Nov. 19 at 8:30 a.m.

License, insurance violations

Sandwich police arrested Victor Schissler, 22, of College Avenue, Ottawa, after stopping his vehicle Oct. 24 at 1:57 p.m. at Main and Water streets. Police said Schissler was charged with driving on a suspended license and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. He posted bond and was released pending an appearance at the DeKalb County Courthouse later this month.

DUI arrest

Sandwich police arrested Johnathon Coulter, 23, of Bluebird Circle, Sandwich, after stopping his vehicle on Route 34 in front of a fitness facility Oct. 25 at 3:20 a.m. Police said Coulter was charged with with driving under the influence. Police said Coulter later posted bond and was released pending an appearance at the Kendall County Courthouse later this month.

Warrant arrest

Sandwich police arrested Amber Perkins, 30, of Lafayette Street, Sandwich, Oct. 24 at 10:15 p.m. at her residence. Police said Perkins was wanted on a LaSalle County warrant on a charge of possession of a controlled substance. She was transported to the DeKalb County Jail in Sycamore pending a bond call, according to police.

Warrant arrest

Sandwich police arrested Barbara Hernandez, 32, of West Street, Plano, Oct. 25 at 1:26 a.m. in the 100 block of East Railroad Street. Police said they were summoned to the location on a report of an altercation. Police said Hernandez was taken into custody when officers learned she was wanted on a Kendall County warrant. Hernandez later posted bond and was released pending an appearance at the Kendall County Courthouse in Yorkville.
