Facing DUI charge
County sheriff's deputies responded to the Kendall County Courthouse in Yorkville at 10:21 a.m. on Nov. 30 for a report of an impaired person having medical issues while driving a car in Yorkville. Police said the driver, Hannah R. Taylor, 26, of the 2000 block of Green Gold Street, Crest Hill, was taken by ambulance to Rush Copley Medical Center in Aurora for injuries she sustained while exiting her vehicle before first responders arrived. Police said Taylor was charged with driving under the influence and was provided a court date while she was being treated at the hospital.
Sheriff's deputies responded to the 7600 block of Route 71, Bristol Township, at 2:17 a.m. on Dec. 1 for a property damage accident. The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, David R. Hane, 40, of the 700 block of Clover Court, Yorkville, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence.
Sheriff's deputies arrested Jose Luis Chavez, 53, of the 10000 block of Caton Farm Road in Kendall Township at 9:07 a.m. on Dec. 2 on charges of domestic battery.
Two hurt in crash
County sheriff's deputies responded to a two vehicle crash in the 700 block of Eldamain Road in Bristol Township Nov. 29 at 6:47 p.m. Police said two people were transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
County sheriff's deputies arrested Sophia Urness of Homewood, Alabama, in the 6000 block of Polo Club Drive in Fox Township Nov. 29. Police said Urness was wanted on a DuPage County warrant. She was transported to the County Jail pending court proceedings.
County sheriff's deputies arrested Timothy Baker, 51, of the 1000 block of Route 47, Yorkville, at his residence Nov. 29 at 8:57 p.m. Police said Baker was wanted on a Kendall County warrant. He was transported to the County Jail pending court proceedings.
Juvenile domestic battery
Sheriff's deputies responded to the 2500 block of Cannonball Trail in Bristol Township at 6:24 p.m. on Nov. 17 regarding a domestic battery. Police referred a 12-year-old male from the residence to juvenile justice authorities for domestic battery charges against a family member. Deputies responded to the same address at 8:19 p.m. on Nov. 17 for the juvenile, charging him with domestic battery against a family member, and the juvenile was taken to Rush Copley Medical Center for psychiatric evaluation.
No license, warrant
Sheriff's deputies arrested Junior A. Ramirez, 22, of the 1300 block of Monomoy Street, Aurora at 1:51 a.m. on Dec. 2 following a traffic stop for one headlight at the intersection of Route 25 and Bereman Road in Boulder Hill. Police said Ramirez was found to have a warrant for his arrest out of Aurora for failure to appear in court on a driving with a suspended license charge. Ramirez was taken to the Aurora Police Department, police said.
Accident with injuries
Sheriff's deputies investigated a two-vehicle accident with injuries at 1:55 p.m. on Dec. 3 at Route 71 and East Highpoint Road in Kendall Township. Police said a vehicle driven by Kelsie Hardy, 21, of Ottawa, struck a vehicle driven by John Ashley, 28, of Ottawa. Ashley was taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, police said. Hardy was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
Rare cat stolen
Sheriff's deputies responded to the 2000 block of Bell Road, Seward Township, at 1:20 p.m. on Nov. 30 regarding a report that a rare breed of cat was stolen in October.
Sheriff's deputies responded to the 0-100 block of Light Road, Oswego Township, at 10:02 a.m. on Nov. 30 for a report of a vehicle burglary where sometime overnight a vehicle was damaged and personal items taken.
