Kendall County sheriff’s reports

Domestic battery arrest

Sheriff’s deputies arrested Adam Stambaugh, 35, of the 13000 block of Ridge Road, Seward Township, at 8:23 p.m. Dec. 29 on charges of domestic battery.

Domestic battery involving teen

Sheriff’s deputies responded to the 2000 block of Cannonball Trail, Bristol Township, at 7:24 p.m. Dec. 25 for a report of a domestic battery. Police said a 13-year-old was referred to juvenile court services for domestic battery and criminal damage to property charges.

Domestic battery investigation

Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a domestic violence incident that occurred in the 8000 block of Van Emmon Road in Bristol Township at 7:34 p.m. Dec. 30. Police said a 43-year-old man was identified as a suspect and the investigation is ongoing.

Warrant arrest

Sheriff’s deputies arrested Valerie Obrochta, 27, of the 700 block of Windsor Drive, Crystal Lake, at 12:47 p.m. Dec. 30 following a traffic stop, as she had a warrant for her arrest out of McHenry County on a traffic-related offense.

Phone scam

Sheriff’s deputies responded Dec. 30 to the 13000 block of Brisbin Road in Na-Au-Say Township for a report of identity theft. Police said a resident told deputies that an unknown person called her Dec. 21 to ask her to send money to them, stating they were from Publishers Clearing House, in an apparent phone scam. The person did not give out any money and there are no suspects at this time, police said.

Violate order of protection

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a violation of an order of protection at 9:55 p.m. Dec. 29 in the 300 block of Boulder Hill Pass, Boulder Hill. The incident is under investigation.

Domestic battery

Sheriff’s deputies responded to the 100 block of Braeburn Road, Boulder Hill, at 10:16 p.m. Dec. 25 for a report of a domestic battery between two male relatives. No charges were filed.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to the 10000 block of Fox River Drive, Fox Township, at 9:54 p.m. Dec. 26 for a report of a domestic battery. An investigation is ongoing, police said.

Damage to property

Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a report of a domestic violence incident at 8 p.m. Dec. 26 in which a male juvenile broke property.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to the area of Galena Road and Little Rock Road in Little Rock Township at 4:44 p.m. Dec. 27 for a report of criminal damage to property and disorderly conduct. The incident is under investigation.

Crash with injuries

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash at Little Rock Road and Glenda Lane in Little Rock Township at 12:05 p.m. Dec. 27 in which a vehicle struck a garbage truck. Police said the driver of the vehicle that struck the garbage truck, Darin Malone, 54, of Plano, was ticketed for disobeying a no passing zone. Police said Malone and his two passengers were taken to a local hospital for treatment of injuries.
