Battered in store
A 37-year-old Oswego woman reported being battered at a store in the 2300 block of Route 34 at 10:43 p.m. Jan. 31, according to Oswego police. The woman was injured in the incident, but not taken to a hospital, police said.
Internet fraud attempt
Oswego police responded to a report of fraud in the 500 block of Coventry Court on Feb. 1 at 2:07 p.m. Police stated that an internet company attempted to take money from a bank account belonging to the victim, by having the victim obtain gift cards from a local business. No money was taken, and the transaction was stopped before any further information was lost.
Oswego police arrested Ramsey E. Bachman, 25, of the 200 block of South Madison Street, Oswego, on a charge of driving under the influence on Feb. 2 at 12:24 a.m. in the 0-99 block of Sedgwick Road. Bachman was released after posting bond, and was given a court date of Feb. 19.
Oswego police arrested Allan D. Hillyer, 51, of the 200 block of Long Meadow Court, Oswego, on a charge of driving under the influence in the area of Route 71 and Washington Street on Feb. 2 at 2:30 a.m. Hillyer posted bond and was given a court date of March 5.
Criminal damage to property
Oswego police arrested Andrew S. Lopez, 35, of the 100 block of St. Joseph Avenue, Joliet, on a charge of criminal damage to property, after responding to a report in the 100 block of Eisenhower Drive, Oswego, on Feb. 1 at 6:38 p.m. Lopez was released after posting bond, and was given a court date of Feb. 19.
Juvenile possession of alcohol
Oswego police charged a girl from Aurora with possession of alcohol by a minor, after responding to a report in the 3000 block of Route 34 on Feb. 2 at 8:23 p.m.
