A Plano woman is facing a charge of contributing to the criminal delinquency of a minor and other charges in connection with a retail theft incident at a Plano store Saturday, Feb. 9.
Police said they responded to a report of a theft in progress at the store in the 6800 block of West Route 34 at 9:34 a.m. Upon arrival, officers were told that Christina V. Burton, 31, of the 3500 block of Bailey Street, Plano, had taken approximately $345 in merchandise from the store.
In addition, police said a juvenile Burton had sent into the store had attempted to leave the store without paying for merchandise valued at approximately $494.
Burton initially provided officers with a false name, police said.
Burton is charged with two counts of felony retail theft, contributing to the criminal delinquency of a juvenile, criminal trespass to property, obstructing identification and driving on a revoked license.
Burton was transported to the Kendall County Jail in Yorkville pending a bond hearing.
