The Sandwich Fire Department will be at Fox Valley Community Center, 1406 Suydam Road, Sandwich, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22. File of Life information will be shared and blood pressure screenings will be done.
Everyone should have their own File of Life. Medical emergencies can happen anytime. When they do, there is confusion, panic and urgency. Paramedics arrive on the scene with no information about the person in need. Seconds count – they can make the difference between life and death.
Does the patient have prior medical conditions? Allergies? What medications are they taking? Who do they want to be called? File of Life puts these answers at the fingertips of the first responders. File of Life has already saved thousands of lives. It is an absolute asset to emergency preparedness and peace of mind for every household.
Plan to attend this important event and have lunch at FVCC. Lunch is served daily by Voluntary Action Center, a Fox Valley Older Adult Services partner. Suggested lunch donation is $4.
Informative presentations are a monthly feature at FVCC, presented by their annual sponsors or community groups. Fox Valley Older Adult Services, for the past 46 years, has helped thousands of seniors continue to live vital and independent lives. Through active adult activities at the senior center, adult day service and home services, including 24/7 private home services, FVOAS and its partner, Voluntary Action Center, assist residents of DeKalb, Kane, Kendall and LaSalle counties.
