The Oswego Education Association will host a public forum for the candidates seeking election to the Oswego School District 308 Board of Education at 7 p.m. next Wednesday, March 20 at Oswego East High School.
The forum will be from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
At the forum, each candidate will have an opportunity to make a prepared statement and will receive a list of prepared questions before hand to be ready to speak on. The forum will then allow for opportunities for the public to submit questions for the candidates and a number of publicly submitted questions will be asked.
The evening will conclude with each school board candidate making a 1 minute closing statement.
A total of five candidates are seeking election to four-year terms on the school board.
The candidates are: Lauri Phillips of 53 Eastfield Road, Boulder Hill; Ruth Kroner of 471 Bloomfield Circle West, Oswego; Wayne E. Harshberger II of 457 Burr Oak, Oswego; John ‘Rob’ DeLong of 75 Eastfield Road, Boulder Hill; and Alison Swanson of 44 Circle Drive, Boulder Hill.
The OEA is the union representing Oswego School District 308 teachers.
