Sheriff's deputies arrested Michael T. Copp, 31, of the 0-99 block of Greenfield Road, Boulder Hill, as they responded to a report of a domestic battery at 1:54 a.m. March 10 at his residence. Police said Copp was wanted on a Kane County warrant for failure to appear in court on prior disorderly conduct and breach of the peace charges. He was transported to the County Jail where his bond was set at $4,000.
Cited for driving 94 mph
Sheriff's deputes cited Chevelle Gomez, 18, of the 2400 block of Frost Drive, Aurora, with speeding 35 mph or more above the posted speed limit at 7:12 p.m. March 10 on Woolley Road at Douglas Road in Oswego Township. Police said Gomez was speeding 94 mph in a 55 mph zone. Gomez was released at the scene pending a court appearance.

Sheriff's deputies took a report at 10:54 p.m. March 10 of criminal damage to property at a residence in the 0-99 block of Springdale Road in Boulder Hill. Police said the incident remains under investigation.

Sheriff's deputies took a report of criminal trespass to land at 9:17 p.m. March 10 in the 2400 block of Cherry Road in NaAuSay Township. Police said they are investigating.

Obstructing among charges
Sheriff's deputies arrested Pamela M. Young, 55, of the 0-99 block of Maple Street, Yorkville, after stopping her vehicle for failing to signal at 2:15 a.m. March 9 on Route 34 at Orchard Road in Oswego. Police said Young was found to have a suspended driver's license after she gave deputies a false name. Young was charged with driving on a suspended license and obstructing information. She was transported to the County Jail in Yorkville where she was later released after posting bond.
Candy, snacks stolen
Sheriff's deputies took a retail theft report at 6:55 p.m. March 9 at a store in the 300 block of East Route 71 in Newark. Police said candy and snacks were stolen. Police said they are investigating.
