Yorkville Police Reports

Information in Police Reports is obtained from local police departments. Individuals in Police Reports who have been charged with a crime have not been proved guilty in court.

In-state warrant arrest

Yorkville police took Larry Franklin, of the 200 block of Spring Street, into custody at 7 a.m. March 12, in the 800 block of Game Farm Road on two outstanding warrants for retail theft from Kendall County and DuPage County. Franklin was transported to the Kendall County Jail.

Driving while license suspended

Yorkville police arrested Christopher Sebastion, 27, of the 1700 block of Plum Street, Aurora, on a charge of driving while license suspended after stopping his vehicle at 8:20 a.m. March 12 in the area of Autumn Creek and Route 34. Sebastion was taken into custody.

Disorderly conduct investigation

Yorkville police are investigating a false disorderly conduct call made at 12:34 a.m. March 13 in the 200 block of Bertram Drive. Police said they received a call that an individual was going to harm themselves. Police said the call later proved to incorrect. The matter is under investigation as disorderly conduct, for making a false 911 call.

In-state warrant arrest

Yorkville police took Lidia N. Ballines, 19, of the 800 block of South Union Street, Aurora, into custody on a valid warrant after responding to a call at 7:51 a.m., March 13 at a store in the 1800 block of Marketview Drive.

Driving while license suspended

Yorkville police arrested Tyler Sibenaller, 25, of the 800 block of Bristol Street, Yorkville, on a charge of driving while license suspended, after stopping the vehicle he was driving at 7:12 p.m., March 15 in the area of Route 34 and Route 47. Sibenaller was taken into custody and transported to the County Jail to await bond.

Five citations issued

Yorkville police issued five citations to Jonathan Heap, 27, of the 7000 block of Route 34, Oswego, after responding to an accident at 4 a.m., March 16 in the area of Kennedy Road and Bristol Ridge Road. Heap was charged with operating a vehicle with no registration plates, operating a vehicle with expired registration plates, operating a vehicle without insurance, improper lane usage, and failure to reduce speed, after running off of Kennedy Road, striking a utility pole, and sliding approximately 200 feet. No injuries were reported.

Retail theft

Yorkville police are investigating a report of retail theft that occurred at 3:02 p.m., March 16, at a store in the 900 block of Erica Lane. The store’s loss prevention officer told police that a causasian female had taken a ring without paying for it and left the scene. The female was identified over the course of the investigation, was issued a citation, and released pending an adjudication hearing at a later date.

Squealing/screeching tires citation

Yorkville police issued a citation to Alex Temes, 22, of the 500 block of Danielle Lane, for squealing/screeching tires, after responding to a call at 8 p.m., March 16, in the area of Route 47 and Hydraulic Avenue. Police said offiers were told Temes turned right onto Route 47 from Hydraulic Avenue heading north at a high rate of speed,and lost control of the motocrycle and laid it down. No injuries were reported.

Illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor

Yorkville police cited a female juvenile for illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor at 11 p.m., March 17, in the 100 block of North Carly Circle.

Domestic battery arrest

Yorkville police arrested Todd Wambsganss, 46, of the 1000 block of Auburn Drive, on a charge of domestic battery, after responding to a call at 5:50 p.m., March 17, in the 1000 block of Auburn Drive. Wambsganss was taken into custody and transported to the Kendall County Jail to await bond.
