A spring sleet storm outside Saturday forced Sandwich High School officials to move the school’s annual Prom Walk indoors. But the last-minute change in venue did not put a damper on the students or the spectators that packed the school gymnasium.
As student couples, attired in their promgoing best, processed into the gym along a red carpet bordered with flowers, parents, friends and family members eagerly took photos and video with their cellphones and cameras.
Later, the students braved the weather outside to board buses for transport to prom.
Prom court included Jillian Fuchs, Avery Tindall, Amaya Pantoja, Nick Paveza, Jaylynn Vana, Saed Sedjiu, Jordyn Thulin, Nico Migliorini, Ava Knepper and Blake Bell. Thulin and Sedjiu were crowned queen and king at SHS’ prom Saturday evening,
