Yorkville police arrested Kathryn E. Sanchez, 38, of the 200 block of West Elizabeth Street, Yorkville, on a warrant at 9:02 p.m., May 7, in the 200 block of West Elizabeth Street. Sanchez was taken into custody and transported to the County Jail.

Failure to reduce speed
Yorkville police cited Grace A. Sczurek, 20, of the 7000 block of Audrey Avenue, Yorkville, for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, after responding to a traffic accident at 3:31 p.m., May 8, in the area of Galena Road and Kennedy Road. No injuries were reported.
Credit card fraud
Yorkville police are investigating a report of credit card theft, reported at 9:02 a.m. May 9 in the 700 block of Bluestem Drive. Police said $5,599 in fraudulent charges were made to a credit card.
Juvenile domestic battery
Yorkville police responded to a call of domestic battery at 10:25 p.m., May 9, in the 100 block of Colonial Parkway. Police reported that two female juveniles engaged in a physical fight in a basement room. The father of one of the juveniles got between the two combatants, resulting in one of the juveniles being pushed against a standing fan. The father was also struck while attempting to end the fight. No charges were listed and no medical assistance was required.
Theft under $500
Yorkville police are investigating a report of theft under $500 that occurred at 12:13 p.m., May 11, in the 100 block of Commercial Drive. According to police, a vehicle's registration sticker, valued at $101, was removed. Those with information are asked to contact the Yorkville Police Department.
Yorkville police arrested Karen Christian, 48, of the 100 block of Willoughby Court, Yorkville, on a charge of domestic battery, after responding to a call at 3:42 p.m., May 11, in the 100 block of Willoughby Court. Christian was taken to the County Jail to await bond.
Following too close
Yorkville police cited Zachary Ward, 25, of the 1800-2000 block of Marlboro Lane, Crest Hill, for following too close, after responding to a traffic accident at 2:19 p.m., May 13, in the area of Route 47 and Cannonball Trail. No injuries were reported.
