Boulder Hill man arrested

Sheriff’s deputies arrested Russell Harrison, 61, of the 0-99 block of Long Beach Road in Boulder Hill at 8:29 p.m. Aug. 12 at his residence on a charge of domestic battery. Harrison was later transported to the County Jail pending court proceedings.

Identity theft reported

Sheriff’s deputies took a report of identity theft at 11:59 p.m. Aug. 15 at a residence in the 0-99 block of Pomeroy Road in Boulder Hill. Police said the victim told deputies that someone attempted to open several unauthorized credit card accounts using the victim’s personal information.

Business reports burglary

Sheriff’s deputies were notified of a burglary that occurred between Aug. 16 and 19 at a business in the 0-99 block of Gastville Street in Oswego Township. Police said someone entered the business and stole property. Police said they are investigating.

Man arrested on two warrants

Sheriff’s deputies arrested Scott A. Miller, 52, of the 0-100 block of Circle Drive East, Boulder Hill, at 10:47 p.m. Aug. 19 after stopping the vehicle he was driving in the area of Route 126 and Mill Street in Yorkville. Police said Miller was charged with driving on a suspended license and was found to be wanted on Aurora police and Kendall County warrants for failure to appear in court on charges of driving while license suspended. Miller was transported to the County Jail where he posted bond and was released pending court proceedings.

Warrant arrest made

Sheriff’s deputies arrested David R. Chaves, 32, of the 1800 bock of Connie Court, Aurora, at 12:45 a.m. Aug. 20 at the County Public Safety Center in Yorkville. Police said Chaves was wanted on a Kendall County warrant for driving on a suspended and revoked driver’s license. Chaves later posted bond and was released pending court proceeding.

Domestic battery report made

Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a report of a domestic battery that occurred at 1:56 a.m. Aug. 18 at a home in the 0-99 block of Greenbriar Road in Boulder Hill.

Man arrested on two warrants

Sheriff’s deputies arrested Edward Tornga, 44, of the 4000 block of East 29th Road, Sandwich, at 9:57 a.m. Aug. 17 after stopping the vehicle he was driving at Walker Road and Route 47 for a speeding violation. Police said Tornga was arrested on two DeKalb County warrants for failing to appear in court on charges of driving on a suspended license. Police said Tornga was transported to the County Jail where he later posted bond and was released pending a court appearance.

Arrests after police stop vehicle

Sheriff’s deputies arrested Antwon Willis, 21, of the 300 block of Bertram Drive, Yorkville, after stopping the vehicle he was driving at 8:26 p.m. Aug. 18 on Briarcliff Road at Route 30. Police said Willis was charged with driving while license revoked and was wanted in DuPage County for failure to appear in court on a reckless driving charge. Police said Willis was transported to the county jail pending court proceedings.

Vehicle burglaries reported

Sheriff’s deputies took a report of a burglary to vehicles that occurred between midnight and 6 a.m. Aug. 15 in the 1000 block of Caton Farm Road in NaAuSay Township. Police said someone entered two unlocked vehicles and took personal items.

Domestic battery reported

Sheriff’s deputies took a report of a domestic battery at 7:07 p.m. Aug. 15 in the 0-99 block of Fox Court in Fox Township. Police said the incident remains under investigation.

Motorcyclist eludes police

Sheriff’s deputies attempted but failed to stop a speeding motorcyclist at 12:59 a.m. Aug. 16 on Route 126 and Old Ridge Road in NaAuSay Township. Police said the motorcyclist fled at a high rate of speed after a deputy signaled to stop. Police said they are investigating.

Bail bond violation reported

Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a report of a violation of a bail bond that occurred in the 0-99 block of Long Beach Road in Boulder Hill at 6:42 p.m. Aug. 14.

Identity theft reported

Sheriff’s deputies took an identity theft report at 9:30 a.m. Aug. 14 in the 6000 block of Minkler Road. Police said the victim told deputies that someone had used his personal information to open an account.

Tire damage reported

Sheriff’s deputies took a report of criminal damage to property at 11:03 a.m. Aug. 17 in the 2200 block of Bell Road in Seward Township. Police said a resident told deputies that someone damaged a tire on her vehicle. Damage to the tire was estimated at $250.
